Your wellness data is personal, and we respect that. This page explains in plain language what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Period Bestie is a wellness tracker — we never provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (or your Google account email if you sign in with Google). When you use the app, you voluntarily log wellness information such as period dates, flow, symptoms, food, water intake, workouts, and medications. We only collect what you choose to enter.
Your account email identifies you and lets you sign in. Your logged data powers the app features you use — cycle predictions, symptom tracking, reminders, and the AI Insights tool. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.
Only you. Every record you log is protected by row-level security, which means it is tied to your account and cannot be read, edited, or deleted by anyone else. Other users will never see your tracking data.
When you ask a question on the AI Insights page, your recent tracking data is included in the request so the AI can give you personalized observations. This data is sent to a third-party AI provider for that single request. The AI does not store your data, and insights are generated per question — not from a saved profile of you.
We rely on a few trusted services: an authentication provider (such as Google) for sign-in, an AI provider for insights, and an email service (Resend) to deliver messages you send through the Contact form. Each of these providers has its own privacy practices. We only share the minimum data needed for the feature to work.
Your logged data stays in your account for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account in Settings, we permanently remove all of your tracked data from our database and sign you out. Account credentials are also removed from our authentication system.
We take reasonable steps to protect your data, including row-level security and secure authentication. However, no digital service is completely secure, and you accept the inherent risks of sharing sensitive health information through any app.
The app is not intended for children under 13. By using Period Bestie, you confirm you are at least 13 or have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the date below. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
