Welcome to Period Bestie ("the App"). By downloading, accessing, or using Period Bestie, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Period Bestie is designed to help users track menstrual cycles, symptoms, moods, wellness information, and related health data for personal wellness and educational purposes.
Period Bestie does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All cycle predictions, reminders, wellness insights, and informational content provided through the App are estimates only and should not be considered medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding medical concerns, symptoms, diagnoses, or treatment decisions.
The App includes an AI-powered insights feature that analyzes your logged data to generate personalized observations and suggestions. To provide these insights, your logged health data is sent to a third-party AI provider for processing. AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading, and should never be relied upon as medical advice. You acknowledge that your data is processed by third-party AI services and that you use AI-generated insights at your own risk.
Period Bestie collects sensitive health information related to menstruation, reproductive health, symptoms, and wellness. We recognize this information is highly personal. Your data is tied to your account and protected by row-level security so that only you can access and manage your own records. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. You provide your health information voluntarily and accept the inherent risks of sharing sensitive data through any digital service.
You must be at least 13 years old or have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the App. By using Period Bestie, you represent that you meet these requirements.
Certain features may require users to create an account. You agree to: provide accurate and current information, maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials, and accept responsibility for activity that occurs under your account.
You may delete your account at any time through the App settings, which permanently removes your tracked data and signs you out. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
Users may voluntarily provide information including: period dates, cycle information, symptoms, mood tracking, wellness notes, and account information. This information is used to provide App features and improve the user experience. Your information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, available in Settings or at the Privacy page.
Your logged data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account through the App, we permanently remove your tracked data from our database. Account credentials are also deleted from our authentication system. Some limited information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business records, such as records of purchases or legal obligations.
The App relies on third-party services to operate, including authentication providers (such as Google), AI processing services, and app marketplaces. These third parties have their own terms and privacy practices. Period Bestie is not responsible for the practices of these third-party services, and your use of features that depend on them is subject to their respective terms.
You agree not to: violate any applicable laws, attempt to access accounts that do not belong to you, interfere with the security or operation of the App, upload malicious software or harmful content, or use the App for fraudulent purposes.
The Period Bestie name, branding, design elements, content, graphics, and software are owned by Period Bestie and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify App content without written permission.
Period Bestie may display advertisements to help support the operation and continued development of the App. Users may be offered the option to purchase an ad-free version of the App through a one-time purchase or subscription. Pricing and payment details will be clearly displayed before purchase. All purchases are processed through the applicable app marketplace, including the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and are subject to the terms, conditions, and refund policies of those marketplaces. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date through your app marketplace account settings. You may cancel a subscription at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by the applicable marketplace according to its refund policy. Purchasing the ad-free version removes eligible advertisements but does not guarantee access to future premium features unless otherwise stated.
While we strive to keep Period Bestie available at all times, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may be modified, updated, suspended, or discontinued at any time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Period Bestie and its owners, employees, affiliates, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the App. The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Period Bestie and its owners, employees, affiliates, and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, it shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered in the State of Texas, United States, rather than in court, except that you may bring claims in small claims court if they qualify. You and Period Bestie waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court or arbitrator, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
